One

William turned one Friday!  This year has gone by so quickly, and he has grown and changed so much, especially in the past month.  He is walking mostly, but he will resort to crawling when he doesn't have something nearby to pull up on.  I have seen him stand up on his own a few times, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until he's walking 100%.  His new favorite thing is clapping, he claps all the time.  He has started waving bye bye occasionally.  Sometimes I think he's saying "mama" but then he'll be holding a toy for Murtle, so his version of the two names is very similar.
He got a swing set for his birthday, so here he is checking it out at his party. We had a small party at the house Saturday.  The weather was great and Patrick and I were so thankful to everyone who came to help celebrate.
Check out the banner...Patrick and I spent several evenings putting it together, I was pretty pleased with the result.

The food table.  I printed out pictures from the past 12 months to display.  The cakes were from Baum's and I think they were pretty good.  William definitely didn't complain.
After we sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candle, William dove into his cake.

I think he ate mostly icing, but he seemed to enjoy it.  After an attempt to put him down for a nap, we brought William back out to open his presents.  He was a little more interested than he was at Christmas, but I think Patrick enjoyed it the most.  According to him, William now has enough toys to last until he's 3!

Now that it's all over, it's a similar bittersweet feeling to how I felt after our wedding.  It was so fun and great and happy to be looking toward the future, but I kinda want to do it all over again!
