Block

I am suffering from blogger's block. I've been out of ideas and waiting for William to conquer some new milestones to blog about. He is so close to completely standing on his own, but he's just not brave enough to really let go. He's letting go more often, but only when he seems to be unaware. People think I'm crazy, but I can't wait for him to start walking! He loves to walk around holding our fingers and he can push his toys around the room.

We spent last weekend in Mississippi. Patrick's cousin Alexa and her family joined us and Mr. Chris. William looks scared in this picture of him and Addie, but I promise he loved being around the kids.

This weekend we went to Morgan City for a wedding and then to Thibodaux. William got to use the baby swing at Grandy and Pop's house.

We also installed William's big boy carseat last week. I had been looking at them forever, and finally found one on sale. The one we purchased has a click safe feature, which means it should make an audible click when the straps are tight enough. Well, I think that may be a little too tight because the first time I put William in it and pulled to tighten it, it was so tight it made him sick!

Finally, Patrick has requested that I post a picture of the huge buck that he killed in December.  Please excuse Klein looking like a thug :).

A Belated Happy New Year

Happy New Year, everyone!  It's hard to believe Christmastime is over, and King Cakes are already on the shelves.  I can't wait to have my first bite!

I went back to work today...after my first ever migraine.  I woke up with one this morning and it was MISERABLE!  I told Patrick I can't remember ever feeling that bad.  The pain was debilitating.  Thank goodness he was home and was able to seamlessly take over William duties this morning so I could go back to bed for a little while.  The nausea finally wore off around 10:30 and the headache had subsided to a more tolerable level so I went in to work and now the headache is barely still there.

William had his post-op appointment with the ENT and a redo of his 9 month check up (he was too sick the first try).  His ears are clear!  I pray that they stay that way for a LOOOONG time.  We also got to wait in the well baby waiting area for the first time in many months...strange the little things that make me so happy.  William is weighing in at 22 lbs 3 oz and is 30 inches long.  Our homework for the next 3 months is switching to table food and introducing a sippee cup.

Patrick and Murtle are doing fine.  They've been busy camp hopping the past few weekends.  Here's a picture of Patrick and William with deer #1 from this hunting season (a doe).
